Defensively he showed very good arm strength up to 89 MPH with some carry on it. Baer has a quick arm action and showed a 3B arm. He has a solid approach to the baseball with solid infield actions. Defensively his tools project best at 3B. At the plate, Baer starts with a tall stance and maintains balance through his swing. He has a short swing path to the baseball and showed some hand quickness. Baer squared the ball up well and showed solid hitting tools. Interesting player with upside. Excellent student.
