Griffin Benson is a 2016 1B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Benbrook, TX who attends Aledo HS. Extra large well proportioned build, has present strength with room for more. Solid defender at first base, has good hands and moves well for his size laterally, plays tall and balanced, has a short and quick release on his throws with some arm strength. Switch-hitter, showed a better swing approach with better bat speed from the right side, tends to stay too inside the ball from both sides and work to the opposite field, has the size and strength to let the barrel go and look to drive the ball harder.
