Brock Hutchinson is a 2018 3B/RHP, OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Lakeland, FL who attends Lakeland Christian. Large frame with broad shoulder and a strong build. Ran a 7.59 sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively from the out field showing smooth paced, fundamentally sound footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose path to contact with a level, line drive plane through extension. Primarily utilized a high contact, mid-field approach throughout batting practice. Flashed good barrel turn to contact with the ability to work to pull side with solid jump off the barrel. Also pitched showing a rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with tall and fall actions. Lands in line with the plate and works over front side well. Medium arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Flashed some arm quickness with a fastball offering that created running action to arm side, topped at 80 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a slider offering that had hard, late tilt to glove side in the low 70's. Works quickly and consistently pounded to strike zone while changing speeds. Very good student as well.
