Cole Hensel is a 2017 RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Millstadt, IL who attends St John Vianney HS. Medium frame, athletic build with present strength. Projects for addtional size with strength. Right handed pitcher with a simple leg lift delivery. Creates slight lower half coil showing pocket at gather. Good balanced throughout offering with drop and drive mechanics to plate that genrates good downhill angle. Smooth arm action and seperation and releasing from a high three quarters arm slot. Arm slot and delivery create solid arm side run with occasional sink on a fastball that sat in the mid 80's. Changed speed with an 11/5 curveball that shows good depth with tight spinning action. Solid command of curveball with ability to pitch backwards when needed. Ability to get to both edges of zone with fastball. Relaxed and composed on the mound with repeatable mechanics. Held velocity well throughout outing, hit top velocity on 85 mph in last inning of work. Good follow.
