Manning Weiss is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Linn-Mar. Recorded a 7.49 second sixty yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher, comes from a three-quarters slot and gets long on the back side. Struggles to repeat his mechanics at times and has little room for error, command will improve as the operation becomes more repeatable. Fastball showed occasional arm side run, flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape and developing bite. Secondary third baseman with a long arm action and high release. Segmented actions, limited feel for the position at present. Right-handed hitter with an extra wide stance and a high hand and back elbow set. Utilizes a toe tap trigger with a direct hand path and linear swing plane, limited lower half drive due to his stance. Excellent student.
