Jake Willis is a 2021 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Thomaston, GA who attends Upson-Lee. Large frame with projectable, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.32 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, gets hips moving and shifts well into swing, hands work well, quick hands through the zone, whippy bat speed, whole-field approach with line drive plane, good hitting tools, showed the ability to get up the gap in game. Worked out behind the plate, side-saddle set, higher hips, good footwork with quickness and athleticism, good accuracy on throws, clocked up to 78 mph. Also graded out well on the mound, uptempo delivery with quick arm to high three quarters slot, good arm speed, fastball worked 77-83 mph with good extension through release, showed curveball with late bite, filled up the zone. Very good student, named to 2019 Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.
