Cameron Dayton is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Round Rock HS. Extra-large frame with long limbs, high waist, and plenty of room for physical projection. Primary lefthanded pitcher with good tempo on the mound and works quickly. Long arm action with a full arm circle and good life on the fastball. Some funk to the delivery that aids in deception as he hides the ball well. Higher three-quarter arm slot with good feel for the slider. Really good feel for pitching with a higher leg lift and fields his position well. Projects very well with more velocity in the tank. Secondary first baseman with a short arm action. Quick exchanges with good footwork and feel for the position. Lefthanded hitter with an upright, slightly closed stance.Direct path to contact with a slightly lofted plane. Natural leverage to the pull side with good extension. Fluid swing path with good present bat speed and creates barrel whip. Coils some at the back of the delivery but has a high power potential to the pull side. Named to the 2017 South Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
