Trent Jones is a 2017 OF/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Western Branch HS. Large farm, long limbs, athletic build, still has room to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.30 60-yard dash. From the outfield, throws from a lower arm slot, ball comes out clean and easy. May see more velocity as he continues to incorporate his lower half on a consistent basis. From the infield, developing consistent actions and footwork. Gets on top of throws with good carry towards target. Was quick and athletic on slow roller. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright stance. Swings on a line drive swing plane, pull side approach. Barrel moves quick through the zone, stays short to the baseball. More hard barrels to come as lower half continues to develop. Outstanding student.
