Nate Taylor is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Flowery Branch, GA who attends Buford. Strong athletic build, especially in the hips and lower half. Side step/rock back start with a high leg raise and big hip turn, lots of upper body movement over the rubber that he needs to repeat, 3/4's arm slot with some extension, rhythm delivery with some energy at release. Fastball worked in the low 90's and topped out at 94 mph, fastball played up and got on hitters quickly, gets to his glove side well. Slider is a big sweeper with 14-18" of horizontal movement, threw it to left handed hitter's effectively. Firm fading change up with good arm speed gives more of a 2-seamer look, can be an effective pitch for him that he can use more in the future. Has the build and the pitches to be a solid starter. Good student. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Team.
