Jaylen Jones is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Thomasville, GA who attends Thomasville. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half. Whippy and loose arm action from a low 3/4's arm slot, creates big angle and deception with his delivery, gets very rotational and is still working on a consistent arm slot. Fastball topped out at 92 mph with good arm side life. Change up is a solid secondary pitch with some fad and some feel. Still developing his curveball and will likely learn a short power slider in the future. Very life arm who creates uncomfortable at-bats, refining his delivery and command will be key to his development. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Michigan.
