Ryan Costello is a 2024 1B/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Howell, NJ who attends Ranney. Very athletic build with good present strength and room for plenty more. Left handed hitter, very well sequenced swing, uses the ground well and gets outstanding hip rotation and torque, turns the barrel hard, big leverage and power out front with separation, crushed the ball consistently in batting practice and the game at-bats, including a game home run. High ceiling hitter who has plus performed on the tournament circuit. Primary first baseman on defense, moves well and has good fundamentals fielding, quick release on his throws. Projects in all areas. Good student, verbal commitment to Pittsburgh.
