2020 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Martin Zhang is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Orange, CT who attends Amity. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Clean delivery on the mound, hooks through back of arm stroke but stays inline and on time, three quarters slot release, good direction through release, fastball worked 83-87 mph with command to four quadrants and good life, showed ability to dominate with the fastball, curveball shows more horizontal movement than vertical but still sharp with late snap, also showed feel for replicating fastball arm speed on changeup and turning it over with fade. High-level feel, threw strikes with all 3 and was adept at sequencing, good upside. Named to 2020 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List, excellent student.
