Christian Cairo is a 2019 SS/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends Calvary Christian HS. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 6.56 runner, has very quick feet in the infield on defense, lots of lateral range, footwork is very advanced, plays low to the ground and gets in front of balls, very soft hands, plenty of arm strength for any infield position. Highest level defender. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a high hand load and a downhill swing plane, has good extension and looseness through contact, quick hands, finds the barrel consistently, high contact approach. Son of former MLB infielder Miguel Cairo. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
