Anthony Rodriguez is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Archbishop Edward Mccarthy. Medium frame, athletic slender build with room to continue filling out. Primary lefthanded pitcher, measured pace out of the windup with leg lift just below the belt. Releases from a 3/4 arm slot, stays pretty balanced and online in delivery. Hides the ball well with a medium-extended arm-action. At times can spin over frontside of delivery, but generally gets good extension. Fastball up to 82 mph, has some armside run and life down in the zone, does a good job of locating the offering to either side of the plate. Showed feel for curveball with 12/6 break, will flash occasional tight bite and downer action. Also plays outfield. Lefthanded hitter, wide base with slight open feet position. Toe-tap timing mechanism, inside hand path, has some quickness and some bat speed. Very good student.
