Nazier Mule is a 2022 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Paterson, NJ who attends Passaic Co Tech. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, present physical strength proportioned throughout. Primary shortstop, moves well on the approach to the ball, soft and snatchy hands out front with clean glove skills, fast release with a lower slot on throws across the diamond, big arm strength and on line carry on throws on to first base, athleticism and twitch play in actions. Also pitched, full and fast arm action through the backside, generates real whip at release with extension out front. Fastball topped out at 97 mph, easy plus arm speed, mostly true in life with occasional running life to arm side. Changeup plays well out of the hand at 83 mph with fade and maintains arm speed very nicely on slider while flashing tilt up to 82 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set in the box; athleticism plays in swing, generates bat speed through the zone with intent on each swing. Shows strength off of the barrel to pull side when squared up out front, keeps hands inside the ball and looks to lift at point of contact. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami. Selected to the 2021 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
