Jarred Zumwalt is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Luling, TX who attends Luling HS. Large frame with a long lean build with plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Has a young look that may Posted a 7.26 60 yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher that throws from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action. Simple slow paced delivery, high leg lift, is repeated well. Is developing separation with hips which will continue to add even more velocity. Fastball has arm side, curveball has 1/7 break with big break. Works down in the zone producing a lot of ground balls. From the outfield, short steps to the baseball fielding it deep. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action, accurate throws. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance, high hand set, and a deep hand load. Has some strength off the barrel and showed good plate discipline in games. Excellent student.
