Weston Siefken is a 2019 RHP/IF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Broomfield, CO who attends Holy Family Catholic. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch. Stays balanced on back side at balance and utilizes lower half while driving in line with the plate. Flashed good arm speed through extension from a compact, three-quarters arm slot. Showed good feel for fastball offering with solid downhill plane through the zone in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with good spin and depth in the mid 60's. Also flashed a changeup with good arm speed that had some running action to arm side in the mid to upper 60's. Also worked out defensively form the infield and behind the place. Aggressively closes to the baseball from the infield with some range to each side. Clean funneling actions and released from a compact, high three-quarters arm slot topping at 81 miles per hour. Slightly taller, narrow stance while setting up to receive behind the plate. Gains some ground with two handed actions while receiving. Compact three-quarters arm slot creating accurate carry to the bag, best workout pop time of 1.98. Right handed hitter with an upright, Open stance and reaching front side trigger. Loose path to contact with present bat speed and strength on an uphill plane through extension. Stays behind baseball well at contact with good balance throughout swing. Primarily worked to the middle of the field but showed the barrel control to work to all fields. Good student as well.
