PT Vercher is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends American Christian Academy. Big and strong athletic build. Simple rock back to a high leg lift delivery, gets coiled well over the rubber, drop and drive mechanics to the plate, piece by piece tempo, has deception to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets cutting action at times when he opens early out front, primary fastball pitcher who throws strikes with the pitch and works ahead in counts with it. Tends to slow his arm on both his curveball and change up, occasional downward depth on his curveball. How much he can improve his off-speed pitches will be the key to his development. Good student.
