Justin Guidos is a 2018 RHP/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Quakertown, PA who attends Quakertown Community High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step into delivery, high leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside and drives towards the plate well with lower half. Full arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters arm slot and creates plane, topped out at 86 mph with nice running life in on the hands of righthanded hitters. Lived down in zone with fastball. Maintained slot on curveball well, 11-5 with occasional 12-6 shape, tight rotation with short depth. Flashed fading life on changeup at 74 mph, replicates release well to. Three pitches for strikes, curveball is put-away pitch. Arm works well in the infield too, solid footwork with sound fundamentals, fields the ball out front, loose arm action with accuracy across the diamond. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and uses a short leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Coils at start of swing and creates torque, works the middle of the field consistently and shows quickness/fluidity to his hands. Quick stroke through the zone, comes off the barrel well with hard line drive contact, squared up consistently. Named to Northeast Indoor-NJ Top Prospect List. Very good student.
