Cade Watson is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Santa Rosa Beach, FL who attends South Walton. Slender young athletic build. Simple turn and throw delivery with a pause at the top, rotates his lower half hard and pulls down on his front side with it, medium effort out front, has some deception to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, worked consistently on the glove side corner with his fastball to right handed hitters. Showed very good feel for his breaking ball, changed shapes and velocities easily and comfortably. Developing straight change up shows promise. Threw almost all strikes and had a very quick and easy outing, knows how to miss barrels and will pitch beyond his raw stuff. Very good athlete, ran a 6.93 and has run 6.70 in the past, has next level tools defensively in the outfield. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a big lower half shift into contact, barrels up well, can get more extension out front for additional power. Good student.
