Devin Boone is a 2020 SS/ with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Warwick, NY who attends Warwick Valley. Small and athletic build, young frame with plenty of growing and filling out left to do with time to do so. Ran a 4.91 second 40 yard dash. Primary shortstop, took reps in the infield fielding ball out front well, fluid actions to the ball coming through the ball, could improve on working more from the ground up into body, quickness to feet with body control especially on plays up the middle, can drop arm slot on throws when he needs to as well, average arm strength at this time that will improve as he matures. Righthanded hitter, slightly open stance with a high hand set, leg lift load getting closed well, full and slightly uphill swing path with some bat speed and looseness, tends to pull off at times, best when staying through the ball up the middle with line drive contact. Excellent student.
