Cameron LaGrassa is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Middleton, MA who attends St. John's Preparatory. 6.75-second runner during the 60-yard dash. Large, athletic build with present strength in his lower half. Primary shortstop, soft hands with deliberate footwork. Present arm strength with throws up to 82 mph across the diamond. Some range going up the middle. Extremely athletic with tools to make it work up the middle. Secondary right-handed pitcher, methodical operation, taking his time. Comes from a higher 3/4 arm slot with some whip to his actions. Fastball showed late sinking action in the zone when he got on top, up to 81 as he sat in the high-70's. Continuing to develop feel for slider that flashed depth. When staying on top of his pitches he generated tons of swing and misses. Left-handed hitter, slightly open stance with a low hand set up. Generates good bat speed, working more to the pull side with a line drive swing plane. Had a tendency to get ahead of himself at times. Excellent student. Names to Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
