Casey Ouellette is a 2019 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Pflugerville, TX who attends Hendrickson HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.88 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with quick, athletic footwork while ranging for and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions at pick up and worked through exchange quickly. Ball comes out of hand clean at released generating stiff on line carry to the bag at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance. Loose hand path to baseball with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Looked to turn top hand to deliver barrel to contact. Primarily employed a mid field to pull side gap approach. Also pitched utilizing a compact delivery. Stays balanced at gather and released from a high three-quarters to near over top arm slot. Fastball generated some downhill plane to the zone with riding life in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Curveball showed proper shape and depth with tight spin in the low 70's. Also flashed a changeup offering that created sink in the low 80's. Aggressively attacked hitters and effectively located fastball to both edges of the plate.
