Will Tynes is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Bossier City, LA who attends Airline. Strong athletic build with an especially strong lower half. Loads over his back side well in his delivery, long and quick arm stroke, 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph with good sinking action. Works his breaking balls frequently, slider has nice bite and depth but tends to drop his release slot on the pitch and tip it, showed nice feel for throwing strikes with a big downer curveball. Flashed a rare change up. Type of pitcher who can mix it up and keep hitters off balance. Right handed hitter, long and strong swing from a spread stance, can get the ball jump when squared up. Very good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
