Reggie Parris is a 2018 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends J. K. Mullen. Large frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Ran a 7.07 sixty yard dash. Primary left handed pitcher with a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Stays in line through finish and producing solid downhill angle through the zone from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed occasional running action to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Present feel for fastball with the ability to located to each edge of the zone. Curveball had sharp 1/7 shape with late depth in the upper 60's. Consistently keep hitter off balance with offering and showed the ability to double up and pitch backwards when needed. Stayed down in the zone with both pitches and induced weak, soft contact. Also worked out defensively form the outfield showing deliberate footwork while closing. Clean glove actions while funneling and working through transfer. Released from a similar high three-quarters arm slot generating some carry to the bag at 82 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a very spread, open stance and sweeping front side trigger. Looked to turn the barrel to contact on a naturally lifted plane through extension. Flashed some fluidity through the zone and ball jumped off the barrel when with backspin when squared. Excellent student.
