Rahul Champaneri is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Mundelein, IL who attends Mundelein. Large frame with athletic build; body projects well. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.24 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, hands over head into delivery, loads into back hip well, front leg sweeps a bit out and around in stride, throws from tight 3/4 slot with good angle, pretty easy mechanical profile overall. Fastball worked 80-84 mph with good angle, worked to both sides of the plate. showed curveball with lots of shape, worked in good feel for changeup with fade as well, threw a lot of strikes. Hits from slightly open stance with leg lift trigger, front hip stays flared open through swing, flat path through the zone, showed whole-field approach. Took defensive reps at 1st base, late funnel with hands, quickness to transfer and release, showed ability to throw accurately from multiple arm slots, clocked up to 78 mph.
