Braden Olson is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Lake Travis HS. Medium frame with athletic build, some projection left. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Strength is evident in swing, shows good ability to get the barrel moving uphill, wants to drive the ball into the air, good pull side pop, will get a little long at times but good present/future power there. Worked out in the outfield, very deliberate steps to the ball, fields under it, uphill release with arm strength clocked up to 83 mph. Also pitched and was intriguing on the mound, three quarters slot release with some angle to the plate, good balance and direction to delivery, fastball worked 80-83 mph with good sink. Showed curveball with sweeping shape and straight changeup, did a good job of sequencing. Good student.
