Ryan Escover is a 2019 C/1B/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Skyline HS. Athletic build with good present strength and room for more. 7.41 runner, gets low and has flexibility behind the plate, very compact actions with strong fundamentals, has nice arm strength and makes very accurate throws, next level catching skills on defense. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, pull approach and will occasionally hit around the ball, line drive swing plane, has strength in his hands when he squares it up. Also pitched, tall delivery with a long hesitation over the rubber, works downhill very well from a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight, works fastball low to the glove side consistently. Hard curveball spin with 12/6 downer shape and good power. Showed a change up in warm ups only. Good athlete who should continue to improve. Good student.
