Pedro Castillo is a 2020 C/1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends G. Holmes Braddock. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary catcher with an athletic stance while receiving the baseball. Displayed quick footwork while working out of crouch towards the bag. Clean, efficient exchanges while working through transition. Throws produced on line carry to the bag topping at 72 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.00. Right handed hitter with an upright stance. Coils hands at load and worked to contact on a clean path. Utilized a line drive barrel plane through extension. Consistently looked to work to contact out front while utilizing a mid field to pull side approach. Excellent student as well.
