Gavin Collyer is a 2019 RHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Mountain View HS. Very slender young build, long arms for his height and size. Back turn delivery, uses lower half well, somewhat cross body on release, outstanding extension out front with a very fast and loose arm, extended 3/4's arm slot, creates angle to the plate, medium effort on release. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, best velocity out of the windup, throws his fastball to spots and can work all quadrants. Tight spinning slider, will vary slider release slot with intent down to low 3/4's, best spin is from the higher slots. Over matched right handed hitters, especially from the windup. Lots of ceiling here as he physically matures. Verbal commitment to Clemson.
