Caden Rothbaum is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 147 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends American Heritage HS. Slender young athletic build. Compact simple delivery with few variables, stays balanced well, good rhythm and tempo, extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, mostly straight, sweeping curveball with some depth at times, showed feel for a change up with good arm speed, has very nice deception on his change up. Mixed his pitches very well and threw strikes with each pitch at any point in the count and was effective. Left handed hitter with some barrel skills, has a short quick swing and handles the barrel well, consistent square contact. Lots of present skills, just needs additional strength to continue to improve. Very good student.
