Tyler Venegas is a 2022 2B/RHP/SS/OF with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Charles W Flanagan. Solid athletic build with good lower half strength. 7.37 runner in the sixty. Showed defensive skills and tools at multiple positions, is athletic to the ball in the middle infield and can make plays on the move, comes to the ball aggressively, showed a quick release and some arm strength, played well at both second base and shortstop. Also plays the outfield with the same type of athleticism and made accurate one hop throws consistently. Right handed hitter, hits from a calm open stance with good rhythm and timing into his swing, good hand quickness and some present bat speed, line drive swing plane with come jump off the barrel. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a rotational delivery with a closed front side at landing, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to land on the side of his foot out front and loose his direction and balance. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight, also threw both a curveball and a slider. Excellent student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
