2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Luke Wilkerson is a 2022 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic. Extra Large frame showing broad shoulders and a high waist. Some room to still fill out physically. Ran a 7.00 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, young footwork present as he works into with a two hand gather. Quick transfer and release. Arm strength present as he threw it 87 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working into a side-step to a belt high leg lift. Athletic in the operation proving he can repeat his actions. Short, quick arm stroke as he released from an over the top slot. Works downhill going right at hitters early. Fastball up to 87 mph with effort in the delivery. Also mixed in a sharp slider in the mid-70's showing late bite. Upside on the mound present and will make strides as he matures. Right-Handed Hitter, balanced to start with high hands behind the ear. Strides out before working into a linear cut. Swing is in sync and proved he could impact with serious thump. Gets extended and proved he could drive it deep. Already flashed big power and projects even more down the road. Great Student. Named to Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
