Jaxen Mashburn is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Pinehurst, NC who attends Pinecrest HS. Medium athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Has a quick and compact arm action on the mound, will get out front early with his lower half at time and is still learning to get his upper and lower half synced up. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with good arm side running action at times. Curveball showed promise with plenty of spin and some good two-plane depth. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with high leg raise load, has good rhythm in his swing and repeats his timing and mechanics, short swing with a line drive middle of the field approach. 7.90 runner, played through the ball well in the outfield with sound fundamentals and a quick release. Good student.
