Steven Stewart is a 2021 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Ironwood HS. Steven is a long and lean athlete who shows coordinated and smooth, easy movement on the diamond. His energy and effort level are commendable. He ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. On the mound, Steven is a gamer! He uses easy, simple, and repeatable mechanics and pitches down the slope well. He pounds the zone repeatedly. His 78-81 mph FB shows sound arm side run and heavy sink. His 71-mph CB is a sharp 12-to-6 breaker that is a knee buckler to RHH. He shows plus pitch-ability. Behind the plate, he is a sound receiver who shows plus momentum to transfer and throw. His short arm action and 72-mph velocity allows for a consistent 2.09 pop time. At the plate, Steven is a switch-hitter and shows sound ability to swing the bat, making solid contact from both sides of the plate. His swing from the LH side is more short and direct and produces more line drives. His swing from the RH side is more power oriented and shows lift and the potential to drive the ball. Lastly, Steven is an exceptional student.
