Ivan Rodriguez is a 2023 RHP/C, MIF with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from San Bernardino, CA who attends Cajon. Young, square shouldered build with lean and projectable frame, will continue to develop physically moving forward with development. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a short rock step moving into a leg lift up above belt, balanced delivery and able to repeat mechanics; lands slightly offline but shows an easy and clean release. Full arm action through the back, stays loose and works to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, mostly true in life, shows ability to work in on hands of hitters. Polished mechanics and threw strikes, nice feel for curveball with 11-5 shape and depth to it up to 59 mph. Flashed a changeup with sink at 61 mph, mixed well and threw strikes. Good student.
