Wilson Woodcox is a 2022 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Lamar. Strong compact build, especially in his lower half. Fast paced delivery, has some deception to his mechanics and his stuff plays up, 3/4's arm slot. Consistent fastball in the upper 80's, mostly straight, lots of swing/miss on balls up in the zone over the barrel. Slider was a solid second pitch with good power and some sharpness, developing change up. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a clean shift into contact, swings hard with good life in his swing and gets the ball in the air consistently, has some barrel skills. Good student, verbal commitment to Tulane.
