Luke Quackenbush is a 2021 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Springfield, MO who attends Kickapoo. Slender athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, has quick and lively "hitter's" hands that explode the barrel head into the zone, aggressive hitter, very well timed, swings with intent and has the bat speed to drive the ball with loud contact and middle of the field carry. 7.36 runner, has fluid actions on defense and works well low to the ball, charges the ball well and can change slots, solid present arm strength and makes accurate throws. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery from the stretch, has effort to the plate and pulls down/off his front side early. Fastball topped out at 83 mph. Showed better feel and command of a slurve type breaking ball he was able to land for strikes. Very interesting bat potential. Good student. Named to the Central Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
