Aiden Sims is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Forney, TX who attends Forney. Medium, athletic frame with a lean and projectable build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a rock step moving into mechanics, full and quick arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Creates nice extension and downhill plane, fastball topped out at 83 mph and comes out of hand cleanly. Mostly true life for fastball but mixes changeup very well, late diving life with feel for the pitch up to 76 mph. Curveball shows tightness to it with 12-6 shape up to 72 mph when on top, will continue to develop a consistent release point on the pitch. Direct angles to balls in the outfield, longer but consistent release and shows carry on throws, accurate to the intended base. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Longer swing path through the zone and shows quickness to hands with slight lift to swing path. Shows a handle for the barrel, projects with additional implementation of lower half and added strength, squared up to the middle of the field consistently.
