Jack Branham is a 2021 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with clean, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange well. Released from mid three-quarters arm slot generating some on line carry to the bag topping at 73 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Loose hand path to baseball with a line drive plane through extension. Looked to throw barrel head to contact out front while utilizing a mid field approach. Also pitching showing a side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with the plate and worked over a flexed from side. Hides baseball well at take back and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly creating occasional run back to arm side in the upper 60's to low 70's, topped at 72 miles per hour. Consistently worked to the bottom quadrants of the zone and induced weak ground ball contact. Good student as well.
