Hampton Gilchrist is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Cornelius, NC who attends Hough. Ran a 7.19 second sixty. A primary righthanded pitcher with a large physical frame showing some present strength. On the mound he sat 78-84 mph with the fastball, topping out a 85 mph working mostly down around the knees and on the corners, he starts with a quick turn into a leg lift just above the belt, the arm works long and fluid through the back stroke, he also mixed in a upper 60's curveball with loose spin but short 12-6 depth coming through the zone with the ability to keep it off the barrel. Good student.
