Matt Borges is a 2022 MIF/C with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from San Pedro, CA who attends San Pedro. Medium frame with some physicality to the build at present. Ran a 7.37 second 60-yard dash. Primary middle-infielder, shows easy footwork around the dirt, works to and through the ball well with sound glove work, stays under control and balanced with his actions and shows an easy release not overthrowing across the diamond. Also worked out behind the plate, gains good ground into this throws and releases from a short arm action with developing arm strength. Right-handed hitter, has a simple and easy swing with some length through the zone but good bat speed and a present feel for the barrel. Shows consistency working to the full side and projects well with added strength. Good student.
