Shane Telfer is a 2019 LHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Encinitas, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic HS. Medium athletic build, room to get stronger. High 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half well to help generate arm speed, very good downhill angle to his pitches. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets good running action and attacks the zone with the pitch. Curveball is a quality pitch with tight hard spin and 2/8 sweeping shape, touch pitch on left handed hitters. Didn't use change up much but it was a potential plus pitch with deception and very good sink. Three pitch lefty with command of all three pitches, will pitch at the next level. Excellent student.
