Peter Chronowski is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Littleton, CO who attends Heritage. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Primary left handed pitcher with a smooth paced side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Long arm circle at separation and released from a loose three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly with some downhill tilt and cut to glove side int the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles peer hour. Curveball had 1/6 shape with tight spin and solid depth in the low 70's. Also flashed a changeup offering that created some deceptive sink in the mid 70's. Looked to work ahead early in counts with fastball and utilized curveball and an out pitch late in at bats. Consistently pounded the strike zone and challenged hitters throughout each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from first base showing clean footwork while traveling to and centering the baseball. Funnels from a slightly deeper position and worked through exchange with fluidity. Quality arm strength while releasing from a compact three-quarter slot, topped at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Simple hand path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Stays balanced throughout and consistently produced line drive contact to the middle of the field between the gaps. Excellent student as well.
