Collin Babin is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Ponchatoula, LA who attends Ponchatoula. Tall and athletic frame with some strength to his lower half and room to continue to fill out. Only pitched and hit at the event, primary righthanded pitcher, starts windup with a side step up to a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, sits on back leg and drives down the mound, stays online to the plate and opens up his front hip nicely, creates a downhill plane to the plate. Fastball is straight and topped out at 84 mph, mixed in a curveball with developing spin, will release on the side of it to add bite to it at times, does lose some velocity from the stretch, worked to all four quadrants of the strike zone with his two pitch combination. Righthanded hitter, long swing with some looseness, flat path with developing bat speed. Good student. Named to 2019 Sunshine Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.
