Petey Halpin is a 2020 OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends St. Francis. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 6.70 runner, 4.27 down the line from the left side. Uses his speed very aggressively in the outfield and is athletic through the ball, very clean and crisp footwork with a quick release on his throws, makes very accurate throws, high level defensive outfielder. Left handed hitter, has a compact short swing with a line drive swing plane, hits to all fields, showed he could turn on the ball with some lift and carry, projects well as a hitter. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA.
