Christopher Scinta is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Tamarac, FL who attends J. P. Taravella. Big and strong young build. Two-way prospect who swung the bat best at this event. Left handed hitter, has an easy and very effective weight shift into contact, extremely well timed both in BP and in games, very consistent swing, showed both present pull power and the ability to drive the left centerfield gap, squared up virtually every swing in BP and games, gets back spin carry on the ball at times. Has good hands and action defensively at first base, scooped the ball nicely in games, 7.68 runner. Free wheeling delivery on the mound, 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot with some crossfire action, will occasionally throw uphill. Fastball topped at 83 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action, hitters seemed to see his fastball well. Sweeping slider flashes good spin but still developing feel for the pitch, flashed a short breaking cutter that could develop into a true slider. Good student. Named to the 2019 14U Sunshine East Top Prospect List.
