Caleb Hampton is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Ooltewah, TN who attends Baylor. Outstanding build with plus present strength, especially in his lower half. 6.50 runner in the sixty, was very aggressive using his speed on the bases. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a simple rock back load, has a strong and quick upper body drive swing with plenty of pull side pop, can get into his strong lower half more for additional strength and bat speed, showed an accurate barrel with hard line drive contact. Primary outfielder on defense, has good raw arm strength, tends to get under the ball at release, developing footwork, has the obvious athleticism to continue to improve defensively with fundamental work, speed will be an asset on defense. Good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
