2022 Sunshine West Showcase
Josiah Palomino is a 2024 C/MIF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Corona. Primary catcher with a lean, athletic build. Consistent transfer and accurate arm produces some carry on a line. Confident round in his actions with a quick hop into his pop time and transfer. Receives it well with improved range. Secondary infielder, shows good arm strength. Replaces his feet well with solid accuracy. Moved well laterally and plays it on a hop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a simple load and some looseness to the hands. Produced solid line drives to the middle of the field, showing present bat speed and feel for the barrel as he continues to mature physically. Very good student. Named to 2022 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
