Drew Dickson is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Zionsville, IN who attends Zionsville Community. Big and strong physical build, especially for a sophomore. Long arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot, high leg lift at his gather point, good extension to the plate. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with very good two-seam running and sinking action, was aggressive throwing strikes and keeping the ball down in the strike zone. Showed two different shapes to his breaking ball, got over his curveball well with some 12/6 shape and good depth, also shortened it up for a shorter and later slider. Workhorse type who fills up the zone with quality strikes and goes after hitters. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall slightly open stance with a high hand set, lifted barrel plane, swings hard and uses his lower half well to help generate bat speed, showed his pull side power well. Potential two-way prospect. Elite level student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
